In this second sermon on the topic of unity, we take a deeper dive into the essence of unity as it pertains to our relationships with one another in settings such as marriage and the church. In 1 Corinthians 12: 24-25, Paul emphasizes that there should be no division in the body. Church members are called upon to use their gifts for the good of the whole. God’s love is the basis for and the ultimate unity not only with Him but with one another. In Romans 15:6-7, Paul clearly states that the purpose of unity is to glorify God, with one voice.
